System requirements

• Operating system: Windows 10 or 11 with the latest Windows updates
• Mac compatibility: Requires Parallels 20 with Windows 11
• Installation: Internet connection (downloads) or USB port (if physical media delivery)

For best performance, we recommend:

• 64-bit 4th generation Intel Core i5 processor
• 8GB memory
• 25 GB free disk space
• Internet connection (for quick software activation and access to KnowItAll's built-in BrowseIt portal to stay connected to important product information, webinars, and more)

Here's how much additional disk space is required if you licensed:

• IR data: 6.5 GB
• Raman data: 700 MB
• UV-Vis data: 190 MB
• NMR data: 17 GB
• GC-MS data: 7 GB
• LC-MS data: 19 GB
• SmartSpectra data: 6 GB SmartSpectra databases: ~6 GB overall

By default, the USB installation installs IR and Raman databases with the software, requiring approximately 7 GB of disk space. If you are downloading the software or installing additional databases, please refer to the space requirements above.

Additional notes:

• Classification models will only work on computers with processors that are AVX (Advanced Vector Extensions) compatible for versions prior to KnowItAll 2026.
• 32-bit systems
  • Require KnowItAll 2020 (20.1) instead of the latest version of KnowItAll
  • May experience slow speeds and performance problems
  • GC Expert, LC Expert, Quantitation, and Trendfinder applications are not available
