- The KnowItAll Informatics System software requires Windows 10 or 11 with the latest Windows updates.
- For Mac computers, KnowItAll requires Parallels 20 with Windows 11. A USB port or Internet connection is needed in order to download or install the software and databases.
- For best performance, we recommend: 64 bit 4th Generation Intel Core i5 Processor, Windows 10 or 11, 8GB Memory, 25 GB Free Disk Space.
- 32 bit systems* require KnowItAll 2020 (20.1) instead of the latest version of KnowItAll. These systems may experience slow speeds and performance problems.
- A connection to the internet is also recommended for quick software activation and to access KnowItAll Informatics System's BrowseIt built-in web portal with links to important product information, events, and more.
Please note that the standard USB installation, which includes IR and Raman, will require about 7 GB of hard disk space. For download installations, or downloading additional databases following a USB installation please see the space requirements below.
If you have licensed any of the following here is how much additional disk space is required:
- IR data: 6.5 GB
- Raman data: 700 MB
- UV-VIS data: 190 MB
- NMR data: 19 GB
- GC-MS data: 7 GB
- LC-MS data: 17-18 GB
- SmartSpectra data: 6 GB
*Note that:
- Classification models will only work on computers with processors that are AVX (Advanced Vector Extensions) compatible for versions prior to KnowItAll 2026.
- GC Expert, LC Expert, Quantitation, and Trendfinder applications are not available with 32-bit systems.
