Overview
From the Leader in Spectral Data
Heighten screening sensitivity with this essential metabolite-based LC-HR-MS/MS library – Newly Updated!
One of the most comprehensive LC-MS references for clinical and forensic toxicologists has once more been extensively updated. Developed by the renowned toxicologist Hans H. Maurer and his team, the Maurer, Meyer, Helfer, Weber: LC-HR-MS/MS Library of Drugs, Poisons, and Their Metabolites, 2nd Edition* (MMHW) database contains experimental data with a focus on metabolites critical to the analytical toxicologist.
- MMHW includes over 5,500 high-quality mass spectra for over 2,300 parent drug or poisons, and over 3,200 of their metabolites or artifacts, in over 100 compound classification groups.
- To aid in compound identification, substances are classified according to their toxicological categories.
- Methods are also provided with the database in a convenient PDF format.
Comprehensive compound coverage. | Carefully curated data. | Supports multiple MS instruments & vendor formats. |

Data curated and reviewed by esteemed toxicologist Maurer and his team. |
Wiley works closely with instrument manufacturers to ensure seamless integration with existing workflows. |
LC-high-resolution tandem mass spectrometry (LC-HR-MS/MS) provides various advantages for screening approaches, such as higher versatility, sensitivity, and specificity. The detection of metabolites also increases selectivity, allows confirmation, and helps minimize the risk of false negative and false positive results, making this database one of the most globally recognized and relied upon by toxicologists, forensic scientists, coroners, and environmental chemists.
About the authors
Hans H. Maurer, Markus R. Meyer, Andreas Helfer, and Armin A. Weber are prominent toxicologists from Saarland University in Germany. They have made significant contributions to the field of toxicology, particularly in the development of advanced screening methods for drugs, poisons, and their metabolites.
