Exploring the external exposome using wearable passive samplers – The China BAPE study

Technique: GC-MS

Type: Case Studies: From the Literature

Applications: Environmental

Products: KnowItAll Software, NIST/EPA/NIH Mass Spectral Library, Wiley Registry

In order to determine what risks the environment has on human health, a suitable monitoring system needs to be used. For the Biomarkers for Air Pollutants Exposure (China BAPE) study, novel wearable passive air samplers, worn on the wrist, were given to study participants to absorb chemicals the participants were exposed to. The samplers were analyzed using GC-HRMS and the spectra obtained identified using Wiley Registry and NIST libraries.
