During the Covid-19 pandemic, Horiba Scientific conducted a Raman microscopy study into the layers used to make up the protective masks being used to protect people against the virus.
Using a LabRAM Soleil confocal Raman multimode microscope to obtain the spectra, the spectra were then identified using KnowItAll Raman spectral library in order to provide a complete overview of the fibers contained in the various masks tested.
