Many analytical laboratories are equipped with instrumentation from multiple vendors, which can result in complicated workflows as well as the need to maintain different software packages and formats. This application note demonstrates how KnowItAll software can overcome these hurdles, by providing an integrated solution to identify, analyze, and manage analytical data across multiple techniques (GC-MS, LC-MS, IR, Raman, NMR, UV-Vis) and vendor formats.

LC-MS spectra from two different instrument vendors, with different distinct data file types were processed, deconvoluted and searched against the NIST MS/MS library using the same workflow. Despite very different data formats and chromatographic conditions between the two instruments, identical compound identification results were obtained for the same sample.
